George Mason University President Ángel Cabrera was named to the Washington Business Journal’s “Power 100 of 2013” list after just over a year on the job.

Cabrera, who took office as Mason’s president in July 2012, was recognized as “an international business thought leader”; as president of Arizona’s Thunderbird School of Global Management, the Journal notes, he led efforts to recruit more women entrepreneurs to the business school and he co-founded the Oath Project, a first-ever pledge of ethics by business leaders.
