Mason doctoral student aims for the stars

Doctoral student Sky Ratcliffe's interest in mathematics began with a great uncle who was a NASA engineer who worked on the Apollo 11, 12, and 16 missions. Ratcliffe hopes to turn that passion into a career dedicated to healing and sustaining the Earth.

Mason receives $4.85 million gift

The anonymous gift will help researchers in the College of Public Health and College of Engineering and Computing develop new imaging tools to identify bruising across all skin tones for use by forensic nurses and law enforcement.
