What is your favorite part of coaching?
Having an impact on the lives of the young women I coach. I also love teaching the game and the thrill of competition.
Who has been your inspiration, role model or mentor?
My parents have been my inspiration and role models throughout my life. They taught me the importance of hard work and living my life in an honest and humble way. My high school coaches are the reason I went into coaching. They had such a positive impact on my life.
What is the most-played song on your iPod?
I listen to my ’70s music and some country.
Where is your favorite place to vacation?
I love warm weather and lots of sun! We would vacation at the lake on our boat. A cruise is pretty awesome, too!
What is your favorite movie, book or television show?
I am a big “Young and the Restless” fan. The invention of the DVR is great! Favorite movies are “The Notebook” and “Forrest Gump.”
How do you like living in Masonvale?
I love being on campus! Traffic is really not an issue.
Tell us one thing that people might not know about you.
Well, I have a couple of hidden talents. I have ridden horses and participated in rodeos since I was five years old and was a member of the K-State rodeo team. In high school, I was a cheerleader and had the lead in our high school musicals!
Have you been able to explore the area? If so, what activity have you most enjoyed?
I haven’t ventured out much yet, but I love the shopping and the great places to eat. I hope I will be able to enjoy more as soon we get settled.
What is your favorite place in Fairfax or in the area to eat?
P. F. Chang’s and the Cheesecake Factory for its red velvet cheesecake.
If you could have dinner with one person dead or alive, who would it be?
That’s a tough one. How about a family dinner with Michael Jordan?
