The annual Faculty-Staff Enrichment Day organized by Human Resources and Payroll will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the Johnson Center on the Fairfax Campus.
Registration opens Monday, Oct. 7, at hr.gmu.edu/learning. The first 100 people to register will be entered into a raffle drawing for tickets to see Aziz Ansari at the Patriot Center on Oct. 19.
The keynote speaker is Jennifer “J.J.” Wagner Davis, Mason senior vice president for administration and finance, and the endnote speaker is Michael “Doc Nix” Nickens, Mason Green Machine Pep Band leader and assistant professor of music.
This year’s theme is collaboration, which is based on one of Mason values articulated in the university’s vision: “We nurture a positive and collaborative environment that contributes to the well-being and success of every member.”
The day’s events will frame this topic in numerous ways, with breakout sessions on how to be more collaborative in the classroom, opportunities to be more involved in the local and global community (including information about the new Mason Korea campus), and several sessions on well-being topics and personal development.
Organizers would love to hear faculty and staff ideas and insights into what collaboration is happening at Mason – tweet to @MasonFSED or follow them for updates about the event.
