The eighth annual ARTS, by George! gala on Sept. 28 took guests on an artistic journey of student performances and exhibitions as flowing wine and delicious food abounded.

The event, which supports scholarships in all of the College of Visual and Performing Arts disciplines, featured the remarkable talents of Mason students and faculty members in showcases from the visual arts, dance, music, theater, computer game design, film and video studies and arts management.  A silent auction of arts-related items and experiences kept guests on their toes as they put in their bids. The evening ended with a show-stopping performance by Tony Award winner Laura Benanti, who entertained the crowd with a variety of popular ballads.
