George Mason University’s Hylton Performing Arts Center at the Prince William Campus is the host site for a government forum sponsored by the Fredericksburg Regional, Greater Reston, Loudoun County and Prince William Chambers of Commerce.

In a forum on Friday, Aug. 9,Virginia’s gubernatorial candidates will state their positions on the issues and answer questions ahead of the fall election.

Check-in for the event starts at 9 a.m.; the program begins at 10 a.m. and concludes at noon.

After making remarks, the candidates, Republican Ken Cuccinelli and Democrat Terry McAuliffe, will separately answer questions from a panel of representatives from the chambers. A number of local companies and organizations are also sponsoring the program.

The event is open to the public; registration is required. The cost is $10 per person to attend. Register at the Prince William Chamber of Commerce website.

The event comes from a distinctive Chamber partnership initiative.  The Hylton Performing Arts Center itself is the result of a unique partnership among  Prince William County, the City of Manassas, George Mason University, and the Commonwealth of Virginia, along with many generous private donors and local business members within the community.
